This is the first section of filtering our tap water.
 
It filters at a mega 0.2 micron - that is so so small. What are the benefits of filtering at this rate? It purifies water from rust, dust, sand, silt and bacteria such as cholera, typhoid and coliforms.
 
This ceramic filter is generally replaced every 6 – 9 months, depending on your tap water quality (ie where you live and which pipes are installed) and quantity used.
